Grassroots Grants
Grassroots Grants offers small grants of up to £5,000 to community groups with an income of less than £20,000 a year. This is a three-year programme running from 2008 -2011. Applicants can get a maximum of £5,000 within that three-year period.
The funding is from the Office of the Third Sector and is managed nationally by the Community Development Foundation.
The Trust is delivering the programme as part of a consortium called the ‘East End and City’. The consortium is delivering grants in the four boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham and the city of London. Each borough has a separate allocation of funding and its own grant panel.
St Katharine & Shadwell Trust is administering the grants programme in two boroughs, Tower Hamlets and the City of London, but can send out application forms for Hackney and Newham.
