The recession, combined with drastic cuts in funding programmes, has been difficult for smaller voluntary organisations. In addition, most small organisations do not have access to the technological resources needed to take advantage of the growth in online giving (increasing by 50% each year). Consequently, only large national charities are currently benefiting from online exposure.
St Katharine & Shadwell Trust Community Foundation strongly believes that Localgiving.com is one of the solutions to reducing dependency on grants, providing more security and the ability to be self-sustainable and more effective.
Localgiving.com gives you access to the technology necessary to raise money, awareness and support online.
If you are successful in your application, your organisation will be provided with online webpages that you create by completing a simple online form and adding photographs and your logo. Our goal is to give VCOs we have supported in the past the same advantages that large charities have by maximising your exposure in the ever-growing online giving market.

- Online donations from both new and existing supporters
- Automated Gift Aid, currently 28.2%, on all donations provided the donor pays sufficient UK tax

There is a 3-month no obligation trial to see exactly what Localgiving.com can offer. After your trial period there is an annual subscription fee of £60 (£5 per month). However, there is no obligation to continue on Localgiving.com once you have completed your free trial.
