Voluntary and Community groups in Tower Hamlets or the City of London are encouraged to apply for a Grassroots Grants grant of up to £5,000. Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 5th March 2010.

Grants can be awarded for projects that:

- strengthen organisational capacity
- strengthen communities
- bring people from different backgrounds together
- respond to local needs

Grassroots Grants is a government-funded programme intended to benefit small voluntary and community groups and organisations working at a local level thereby help build stronger and more active communities.

Call 020 7782 6962 for an application pack. This is your last chance to grab a grant from the 09-10 funding round so hurry and get your applications in now!

If you miss this deadline, don't worry, there will be a another one soon when the new funding round begins in April 2010.
