A new fund, 'Comic Relief', is now available to voluntary and community and not for profit groups in the City of London, Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

The fund, provided by Comic Relief and administered by the Trust, offers grants of up to £10,000, however most grants will be between £1,000 and £3,000.

Grants can be awarded to sports projects that:

- increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation
- help people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives

and to community groups running projects that actively engage the local community to:

• increase local services
• builds skills of local people
• increase community cohesion
• respond to local economic needs
